  • Vintage Design: Timo Sarpaneva's Arkipelago series for Iittala is a well-regarded vintage design, capturing the spirit of snow and ice. This series was produced in the 1970s, making items from this collection fall into the vintage category. The Archipelago series, which began in 1978, was made with a special dribbling technique, developed with the glassblowers at iittala, in which an even spread of bubbles and streaks are left in the solid and clear glass.
